Myriana Rifai

I am a Network and System research engineer that is interested in a multitude of technologies that allow to increase the network performance, programmability and functionality to allow the development of numerous systems and applications that would facilitate one's life.

I am currently working as a research engineer at Nokia Bell Labs France in the AAAIR (Analytics, Algorithmics and Augmented Intelligence Research) lab in the AMI (Augmented Machine Interaction) team.

I got my PhD degree in informatics from the University of Cote D'Azur France after working for three years in the Signet Team at I3S lab in Sophia Antipolis France under the co-supervision of Guillaume Urvoy-Keller and Dino-Pacheco Lopez. I obtained my Masters in Ubiquitous Networking from Université Nice-Sophia Antipolis (Polytech) in 2014.

From 2014 to 2017, I worked on Software Defined Networks (SDN). My main work consisted in providing practical solutions that will enable to bypass this technology limits, in addition to constructing solutions that leverages its benefits to enhance today's data center and backbone networks.

My research interests include:

  • Augmented Machine Interaction
  • Artificial Intelligence
  • Routing Protocols
  • Network architectures ( Future generation networks)
  • Network Performance (Congestion, Scheduling and Resilience)
  • Datacenter and Backbone networks
  • Network Clouds
