Help Keep Traffic Moving

PHNA would like to be proactive in keeping traffic moving for our residents through our neighborhood during the next several weeks while the 1-85 bridge is being repaired. During  construction, pulling out on to Buford Highway from Shady Valley will be a challenge, especially on weekday mornings and evenings as commuters block the intersection. It will be virtually impossible to pull out and try to turn left on to Cheshire Bridge Road.

In order to help with the congestion, we propose paying for an off-duty police officer to direct traffic at this intersection from 7-9 am and  4-6 pm Monday through Friday during construction, currently scheduled to be complete by June 10. The total cost to fund this from April 10 - June 10  is approximately $6,300 (4 hours x 45 days x $35/hour). We are asking all of you that can, to make a contribution to the fund --  any amount would be appreciated. We will need to raise at least $700 (1 week of funding) to get started and will keep you up to date on fund-raising and let you know once we have met our goal. We hope we can work together to build enough support to  make it a little easier for us to get around during these next few challenging weeks.
