Atlanta Transportation Plan

Thursday’s fire, subsequent closing of I-85, and re-routing plans are going to put a tremendous amount of stress on Pine Hills and local traffic over the next few months.  Both the City of Atlanta and City of Brookhaven had additional traffic control on major roadways on Friday and will continue to make modifications as bridge repairs begin.  A number of Buckhead neighborhoods are exploring whether we can hire off-duty officers to manage traffic at key hotspots like Shady Valley and Buford Highway.  We are discussing this with Major Shaw at our upcoming NPU-B meeting and will keep you informed of the outcome.

The City of Atlanta, as part of “Atlanta’s Transportation Plan,” is asking residents to take a survey about their transportation priorities.  Here is the link to the survey: It is critically important that we express the need to include infrastructure repairs in the plan.  Please take the survey and make your wishes known to the planners.
