  • Childers Road Widening/Repaving A message from Councilman Joe Gebbia (District 4, City of Brookhaven)Dear Pine Hills Neighbors, After an extensive engineering review, Childers Road is finally about to undergo its much-needed upgrade. Here’s the recap of the improvements to take place: 1. Widening of the road from N. Druid Hills Rd to the current cement curbing; 2. Installation of granite curbing from NDH Rd to the current cement curbing; 3. Repositioning of the catch basin; 4. A complete rebuild of Childers Rd as the street construction did not include installation of a base before the blacktop was put down.   • Annual Meeting -- (April) We have had some space and scheduling challenges for our Annual Meeting.  Two dates/locations have fallen through and we are working on scheduling a meeting for late April.   Please keep checking the website and we will post and send out information as soon as we have a confirmed date and location.

  • Neighborhood Watch Training The Atlanta Police Department appointed Ms. Marshall (Marsha) Stevenson as our new Zone 2 Crime Prevention Inspector.  She is announcing two initiatives:The first Annual Citywide Neighborhood Watch Training will be held on Saturday, March 31st at the Public Safety Headquarters located at 226 Peachtree St, SW Atlanta at 8:45am to 1:30pm. In our recent survey, many residents expressed an interest in forming Neighborhood Watch Programs on your street.  This APD training is the first step in getting started for those in the City of Atlanta side of the neighborhood.  For more information, see the attached flyer.  Contact Inspector K.   • North Fork Peachtree Creek Watershed Meeting The City of Brookhaven’s Public Works department will host a public meeting on the North Fork Peachtree Creek Watershed Improvement Plan on Wednesday, Feb. 7, from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Latin American Association, 2750 Buford Highway.  In Spring 2017, Brookhaven City Council approved a study that will identify projects to improve water quality in the North Fork Peachtree Creek.
