Quickbooks Option for Conservation Districts

Dear Conservationists,

This is another update on the the Quickbooks options for conservation districts. The NRCS clarified a key question TODAY regarding the use of cce computers being used to access the online versions of Quickbooks and associated report applications. NRCS State Conservationists were notified by email today of this interpretation so you should have an easier time of discussing options with them.

The answer is that districts CAN/MAY use cce computers to access online versions of Quickbooks, however the PII data is not to be stored on the USDA servers. Quickbooks software does not have to be removed for this option, just the data that is not to be stored on the USDA servers.

Now that this key question is resolved we will move forward with a more detailed options discussion with the 7 states that have indicated they would like to consider one or both of the options we have secured from Intuit, the company that supplies Quickbooks.

Please continue to share your questions with us as we move forward to help resolve this issue.
