Simple Syrup, Cooked

Glass:  Covered glass bottle or jar of sufficient size for storing the quantity you prepare

Makes:  Personal preference determines quantity


  • One equal part water
  • One equal part sugar


01.  In a small saucepan over Medium-High heat, combine equal parts sugar and water. 

02.  Bring to a simmer or boil, and stir.

03.  When sugar is thoroughly dissolved, remove from heat and cool completely. 

04.  Pour into a tightly covered container and refrigerate. Use within two (2) weeks or discard.
