Balancing Sustainable Development & the Global Climate Destabilization

Welcome to the starting page to deal with this issue.  It is one of the 15 global challenges that each have the potential to bring humanity to its knees.  We are delighted you want to learn more about it, incorporate it in everything you do, the organisations you participate in and contribute in solving it.  Sign in (at the bottom) with your google account - and an edit/add page button will appear so you can start contributing, linking-up and soon others will contact you to link up with you.  To address the issue, several measures are being taken by the different stakeholders: governmental, non-governmental, local - national / regional - global, private sector, etc.
Probably one of the most comprehensive one is the initiative on UN level, i.e. the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change or Kyoto Protocol and the CO2e-certificate Emission Trading System between governments and companies in countries that caused the global climate destabilisation and countries that are suffering from it but didn't or hardly contributed to it and the Nobel Price winning "Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change", where all the leading climate & meteorology organisations and academics come together and which is supported by all other federations of academics and Nobel Price Winners.

  1. A brief recap on how the UNFCCC & CO2e-certificate Emission Trading System works, and brings financial and other resources to your side
  2. How we are gong to die?
    1. Unique and threatened sytems: a sneaky one - we're going to destroy them one by one untill none is left and they can't fulfill their "sanctuary function", i.e. function as a breeding ground for unique species and biodiversity.  Of course only few people live there, and we don't give them a microphone / access to the media /
    2. Extreme weather events: a sneaky one - one extreme weather event after the other will kill a couple of millions here, a couple of hundred thousands there be it humans or biodiversity.  Since the death don't complain, and since we'll only hear from the non affected, we won't hear anything because it didn't happen to us, so we shut up about it.
