I've been working on a 1970 VW Squareback for a number of years now. This web site is devoted to documenting some of the work that was done and the work that is still to come. The car started out as a project car for my oldest son. He fell in love at first site but unfortunately, dad took over the purchase of the car when his money fell short. To this day, I don't really know why this car became such an obsession with me. I just know that once I came up with the idea of automating a Volkswagen, the drive to finish the car never left me. As with almost any project car there is always a balance between the price of restoration and the worth of the car. In this case, I don't ever see me getting my money out of the car. However, that being said, I think what I've come up with is very unique and may have never been done before, at least on a 1970 VW T3 Squareback. So here it goes...
