20+ years with China

in 2019, 

the very first merger between an international academic press [ EDP sciences, Paris, France] and Science Press [of CSPM, Beijing, PR China] have been realized. This major deal has been initiated through my networking services.

in January 2011, I had the honor to organize a panel on "Chinese publishing" at the APE-2011 conference in Berlin.

in 2010/11, I had been assigned to realize the market entry of German's premium press de-Gruyter, from Berlin. 

in 2005, my "China-endeavors" originally started, while at Brill Academic Publishers. As one major result of developing Brill's China-market activities, numerous partnerships with the top tier academic publishers in China had been established. Eventually, the newly established publishing series on Modern and Contemporary Chinese Studies has been launched internationally in 2009.

12+ years pass-on knowledge

2013- date:

• As a guest-lecturer at the [polytechnic] HWTK Leipzig, Germany, I share my insights on the China publishing industry with their BA & MA students. Opportunities and risks for German and European publishers if working with the Chinese market are subject of interests like vice versa.

• Numerous students have been co-supervised for their BA- and MA thesis' till date.

• A research proposal on the impact of the Chinese academic world at large is currently under preparation.
