The Rutgers University Mountainview Project Student Organization (MVP-SO) is a social action student organization at Rutgers University New Brunswick campus.  While we are a student organization, we work to support the Mountainview Program, a separate university program that is an integral part of our mission.  Our student organization includes university-wide students as well as Mountainview Program (the Rutgers University program that recruits and supports formerly incarcerated students at Rutgers) students.  Our student organization brings together university students and community members to further support the Mountainview Program initiatives.

MVP-SO's purpose is to work with at-risk youth and inmates through direct contact by way of mentoring, tutoring, conducting seminars, and providing alternative opportunities that promote the pursuit of higher education. We also exist as an entity to raise awareness of the possibility and benefits of successful ex-felon reform. If you are interested in advocating for and being an agent of change, we are always looking for new members.

Meetings are held every Monday from 8:30pm - 9:30pm in Meeting Room C at the Douglass Campus Center (DCC). Visitors and new members are always welcome.

Help us in the fight FOR education and AGAINST recidivism!

We would like to see YOU on the MVP-SO team!
Send an email to rutgersmvpso@gmail.com to express your interest!
Membership and participation in MVP-SO is free and open to all Rutgers students.

Meetings are held on Mondays from 8:30pm - 9:30pm during the school year in Meeting Room C at the Douglass Campus Center.
