Gator Winter Swim - This popular Sunday evening program (beginning in September and running through May, most Sundays, 7-8pm, at GW Rec Center has been a staple for Gators for many years. Our own coach Kelli Makin, along with many of the Gator teen coaches from this summer, provide instruction and all important year-round-in-water-time that makes for a better summer league swimmer. This program is geared toward younger swimmers or more inexperienced older swimmer up to age 12. We invite all new pool members and those currently on the wait list to join the pool* to register for this program. We hope that you will consider joining us. Use this form to sign-up for Gator Winter Swim.  (PLEASE NOTE: POOL LOCATION HAS NOT YET BEEN CONFIRMED)

*Note: If you are not yet a member of the pool but are on the waiting list, participating in Winter Swim in no way changes your pool membership status. In order to swim on the Gator Swim Team next summer you must be a member of the Mount Vernon Pool (NVSL requirement), but you may participate in Winter Swim. But again, we can not guarantee that you will get into the pool even if you do participate in Winter Swim. Please contact the membership director, Jim Phalen, to check your waitlist status if that matters to you for your decision to register for Winter Swim.
Your sign-up will not be complete until we receive the payment of $260 per swimmer (payable online through registration) and the signed waiver form (signed during registration). Remember, we have a limited number of slots for Gator Winter Swim so don't delay; we will open up any remaining swimmer slots to the general park membership in late August. Other options for winter swimming in the area are provided by Nation's Capital SwimFort Belvoir Swim, and Potomac Marlins. Please talk to coaches or the Team Reps to determine the best fit for your swimmer.
