Dear MVMS Families,

Welcome to the 2017-2018 school year! We are excited to begin another year with some new faces joining us on the PCO Board. The mission of the MVMS PCO is to support educational, social, enrichment and technology programs that benefit all students, faculty and staff. The PCO is a working relationship, forging a partnership of parents, teachers, staff and the administration of Veterans Middle School.  As parents or guardians of children attending MVMS, you are automatically a member of the PCO and we look forward to working with you. We encourage you to attend our PCO meetings, held every other month and Principal's Coffees, held on the alternate months, usually the 1st Friday of the month. Attending is a great way to get involved and stay informed. This year, meetings will held on: September 8, October 6,  November 3,  December 1, January 12,  February 2, March 2,  April 6,  May 4 and June 6 at 8:30 am in the band room.

The PCO funds numerous enrichment programs, student events and contribute to teacher needs that directly benefit our students. This is all made possible by the generous donations of our Veterans School Families.  The PCO receives funding from just two sources: 

  • Contribution Drive: This is the one and only time we ask for donations. Your support is a key component in allowing us to continue to fund technology, visiting authors, Headers in History and general requests from teachers and staff that enhance your child’s curriculum and educational experience. Please consider making a donation. You can fill out the attached form and send it in to school or make your donation online via the following link Please note that the MVMS PCO Inc. is a 501(c)3 organization and all donations are tax deductible. Check with your employer to see if they have a matching gift program.

  • Magic Hat: Yes, it’s magic! Every hour we volunteer at the Magic Hat…turns into money. Last year your volunteer hours earned $18,182.41! As you can see, donating your time during our scheduled week or anytime is extremely valuable. Our next week at the Magic Hat is September 10-16, hope to see you there!

Last year we raised a total of $28,772.41 with the majority of that money coming from our Magic Hat Thrift Shop allocation. We would not have been so successful without the ongoing dedication from our MVMS families. Thank you!

This year, our directory is once again online via If you are new to MVMS you can add your information by using the following link and enter join code MVMSPCO. This will serve as our MVMS Student Directory and email database. All PCO emails/announcements and general information will be sent from here going forward. Even if you have entered your information last year at Vets or at Village, please select your student’s team color and update/confirm your contact information. Don’t miss out on this great opportunity to stay informed.
