Dr. T. Muthamizhan is working as Associate Professor in Department of Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Sri Sai Ram Institute of Technology, Chennai, India. He has completed his Bachelor degree (B.E.,) in Electrical & Electronics Engineering from St. Peters Engineering College, Madras University in 1998, Master degree (M.E.) in Power Electronics & Drives from College of Engineering Guindy, Anna University, Chennai 600025 in 2005 and Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Electrical Engineering from College of Engineering Guindy, Anna University, Chennai 600025 in 2014. Having 17+ years of teaching experience (College of Engineering Guindy, GKM College of Engineering and Technology, Bharath University, Kodada Institute of Tecyhnology and Science, and Sri Sai Ram Institute of Technology) and 9 years of industrial experience. He has published more than 53 research papers ( 28 internationl Conferences and 25 International Journals of which 36 papers are indexed in scopus , 1 in SCI Journals ). He is Senior Member of IEEE (SM-IEEE), Fellow of the Institution of Engineers (India) (FIE), Life Member of Indian Society of Technical Education (M.I.S.T.E), Member of Solar Energy Society of India (SESI).
He has successfully conducted a 2 week ATAL Faculty Development program (FDP) by receiving a fund of Rs.3,00,000 from AICTE, India on “Power Electronics Applications to Renewable Energy Systems, Electrical Vehicles and Intelligent Control”, from 10.10.2022 to 21.10.2022. He is the Convenor, 3 day IEEE International Conference on Computer, Power and Communication (ICCPC’22) organized by Sri Sai Ram Institute of Technology, from 14.12.22 to 16.12.22. He has received a funding of Rs.90,000/- from UBA for implementing a project on "Harnessing Nature's bounty: Fog Nets as a sustainable supplement to water Scarcity in Arid Regions" . He has conducted Faculty development programmes, National conferences and seminars in his career. He is reviewer in many international conferences, and Journals.
His research areas includes Electric drives & Control, Renewable energy Technologies, Power electronic converters and Microgrid.
