Sarvathah Paani-paadam Tath-sarvatha-o-akshi-shira-o-mukham
Sarvathah Sruthimath-loekae Sarvam-aavr'thya Thisht'tathi

It Tath

exists Thishtathi

 

enveloping aavr'thya

everything Sarvam

in this world loekae

 

With hands Paani

and

feet paadam

everywhere Sarvathah

 

With eyes, akshi

 

heads shira-

and

face s mukham

everywhere Sarvathah

 

With ears Sruthimath-

everywhere Sarvathah

Sarva-indriya-guna-abhaasam Sarva-indriya-vivarjitham
Asaktam Sarva-br'th-cha-eva Ni-r-gunam Guna-bhokth'r Cha


Without vivarjitham

any Sarva

sense organ indriya


 

illuminates abhaasam

every Sarva

sense organ in the body indriya

and make it perform

its natural function guna



 

without holding on to anything Asaktam

holds together br'th

everything Sarva


 

Also eva

that which experiences bhokth'r

the inherant nature Guna

without any nature for itself Ni-r-gunam

Bahi-r-antha-s-cha Bhoothaanaam-acharam Charam-eva Cha
Sookshmatuaath-tad-avijnaeyam Doora-st'tham Cha-anthikae Cha Tath

It tat

is inside antha

and cha

outside Bahi

everything Bhoothaanaam


 

It is what moves charam

and Cha

also eva

what does not move acharam

un-knowable avijnaeyam

because of it s fineness Sookshmatuaath

very far away Doora

and also Cha

very near anthika

Avibhaktam Cha Bhootheshu Vibhaktam-iva Cha St'thitham
Bhootha-bhartr' Cha Tat-jneyam Prabha-vishnu Cha

Tat tath

which is worth knowing jneyam  
 

though indivisible Avibhaktm

exists St'thitham

in different things Bhootheshu

as if iva

separate and divided Vibhaktam

holds Grasishnu

 

rules bhartr'  
 

and Cha

creates Prabha-vishnu

Jyothishaam-api Tath-jyothis-s-tamasah Param-uchyathae
Jnaanam Jnaeyam Jnaana-gamyam Hr'di Sarvasya Visht'titham

Existing Vishtitham

in all Sarvasya

hearts Hr'di

as

the light of wisdom Jnaanam

 

that which is worth knowing Jnaeyam

and

that which can be reached gamyam

through knowledge Jnaana

is said to be uchyathae

the light jyothis

of everything that is illuminant Jyothishaam

 

and also api

beyond Param

darkness tamasah

Ithi Kshetram Tat'thaa Jnaanam Jneyam Cha-uktam Samaasathaha
Mad-bhakta Aethath-vijnaaya Mad-bhaavaaya-upa-padyathae

Thus Ithi

has been said uktam

in brief Samaasathaha

about

the human being Kshetram

and

likewiseTat'thaa

about

knowledge Jnaanam

and

about

what is worth knowing Jneyam

devotee bhakta

knowing vijnaaya

this Aethath

is worthy of reaching upa-padyathae

me Mad-bhaavaaya

Prakrtim Purusham Cha-eva Vidhi-anaadi Ubhou-v-api
Vikaaram-s-cha Gunaam-s-cha-eva Vidhi Prakrti-sambhavaan

Know Vidhi

this also eva . . .

nature Prakrtim

and api Cha

the life which illuminates Purusham

as without a beginning anaadi


 

Know Vidhi

the inherant qualities Gunaam

of human beings

and cha

changes Vikaara

as originating sambhavaan

from nature Prakrti

Kaarya-kaarana-kartr'tuae Haetuh Prakrti-r-uchyatae
Purushah Sukha-dukhaanaam Bhoktr'tuae Haetu-r-uchyate

It is said that uchyatae

it is the nature Prakrti

that is

responsible for all actions kartr'tuae

which is the cause Haetuh

for the visible life Kaarya

and

for what causes life kaarana



 

The inner life which illuminates Purushah

is said uchyate

to be the one Haetu

which experiences Bhoktr'tuae

the joys Sukha

and

sorrows dukhaanaam

Purushah Prak'ti-st'tha-o Hi Bhungthae Prakr'ti-jaan-gunaan
Kaaranam Guna-sangha-o-asya Sat-asat-yoeni-janmasu

Situated st'tha

in nature Prak'ti

the inner life Purushah

experiences Bhungthae

what is done becasue of jaan

inherant Prakr'ti

qualitites gunaan


 

The reason Kaaranam

for being born janmasu

into saintly Sath

or

evil asath

sources yoeni

is the association sangha

with this asya

inherant quality Guna

Upadr'shta-anumanthaa Cha Bharthaa Bhoektaa Maha-eswaraha
Param-aatma-ithi Cha-api-ukta-o Daehae-asmin Purushah Paraha



The great Parah

illuminator Purushah

of this asmin

body Daehae

is thus ithi

known uktaah


 

as the witness Upa-dr'shta

of everything that happens in the living being


 

also Cha

the one who makes everything possible anumantha


 

the one who rules Bharthaa


 

the experiecer Bhoektaa


 

the lord Maha-eswaraha


 

and also Cha-api


 

the great Param

inner self aatma

Yah Evam Vaet'thi Purusham Prakr'tim Cha Gunaih Saha
Sarvat'thaa Varthamaana-o-api Na Sa Bhooya-o-abhijaayathae

Whoever Yah

is thus Evam

aware vaet'thi

of the illuminating one Purusha

 

and Cha

the nature Prakr'tim

along with Sah

its qualities Gunaih

 

even api

if engaged Varthamaana

in anything Sarvat'thaa

 

he Sa

will not Na

come back to the cycle of life and death abhijaayathae

Dyaanaena-aathmani Pashyanthi Kaechith-aatmaanam-aatmana
Anyae Saankhyaena Yoegaena Karma-yoegaena Cha-aparae

Some Kaechith

through meditation Dyaanaena

see Pashyanthi

the illuminating one aatmaanam

in one s inner self aathmani

by one s own self aatmana


others Anyae

by way of knowing the self as the divine Yoegaena

through knowledge Saankhyaena


and Cha

other s aparae

by way of surrendering to the divine yoegaena

through performance of actions without attachment Karma
