I have been teaching science for thirteen years. Prior to becoming a science teacher I was a fisheries biologist for the California Department of Fish and Game. I decided to become a teacher to share my joy of science with students. In my free time I enjoy hiking, kayaking, traveling, gardening, and playing with my dog.
As a teacher I feel that I owe it to my students to bring consistency, diligence, and warmth to my job. I hope that I can inspire and encourage these traits in my students, so that they can become contributing members of society. I also aspire to share my love of science and learning with my students by providing them with a stimulating and exciting environment in which to learn.
