As a macroeconomist and fiscal-structural expert, with an interest in both policy advice and research, I focus on tackling real-world challenges with analytical rigor. Over the last fifteen years, I have been affiliated with several international organizations, fiscal councils, and central banks in Europe and the United States. I joined the International Monetary Fund in 2016.

On October 7, 2025, the International Monetary Fund released the October 2025 Fiscal Monitor: Spending Smarter: How Efficient and Well-Allocated Public Spending Can Boost Economic Growth. The key message is that governments should reallocate public spending to pro-growth areas and enhance the efficiency of spending in order to facilitate economic growth. It was an honor to co-lead this project over the last few months!
