Mukesh Ambani’s US $2 billion home..

Earlier in March, Mukesh Ambani was ranked as the fifth richest person in the world with a net worth of 43 billion .

Ambani bought the 49,000-square-foot plot in 2002. The tower, complete with three floors of gardens and two floors of pools, will rise to 570 feet, or the height of a 60-story residential building, but will have only 27 floors.

US$2 billion residential building, Antilia in Mumbai for his family. It is expected to be ready in January 2009. Chicago Perkins Will designed the glass-tower which features a “health club”, “multiple safe rooms” “3 helipads”, 168 parking spaces and require 600 servants to maintain, and physically, the structure stands at 27 storeys, or 570 feet tall.

Top floor have open space for the view of mumbai city and ocean. From ground floor to 6th floor there will be parking space for all cars including visitors. Plants will be grown all around in the building to keep away from heat. There will be separate floor for the health. There will be yoga, dance, gym, restaura and many more features in it. Sure there will be a theater in separate floor with DTS dolby and latest projectors. Theater will also have snack bar and wine room in it.

All the material and interior design used in this home, will be unique. you will not see it any where in the world. There will be also separate rooms for business meeting, parties, guests, and others. No need to surprise that bathroom may be bigger than some good homes in india also in term of money. There will be siver stairs and crystal decoration on the ceiling. Kitchen will be busy all the days to serve hundreads of guests.

Six floors for parking:
The first six floors will be reserved for parking alone, and that too for cars belonging only to Mukesh’s family. Space for a total of 168 ‘imported’ cars has been earmarked here

Floor for car maintenance:
Sources said the Ambanis would prefer to have all their cars serviced and maintained at an in-house service centre. This centre will be set up on the seventh floor.

Entertainment floor:
The eighth floor will have an entertainment centre comprising a mini-theatre with a seating capacity of 50.

Balconies with gardens:
The rooftop of the mini-theatre will serve as a garden, and immediately above that, three more balconies with terrace gardens will be independent floors.

The ‘health’ floors:
While the ninth floor will a ‘refuge’ floor - meant to be used for rescue in emergencies - two floors above that will be set aside for ‘health.’ One of these will have facilities for athletics and a swimming pool, while the other will have a health club complete with the latest gym equipment.

For guests:
There will be a two-storeyed glass-fronted apartment for the Ambani family’s guests above the health floors. One more refuge floor and one floor for mechanical works will be built on top of these apartments.

Family:
The top four floors, with a panoramic view of the city and the Arabian Sea beyond, are expected to be for Ambani, his wife Nita, mother Kokilaben and the couple’s three kids. Around 600 staff will reportedly be employed at the house to wait on India’s first industrial family.

Air space floor:
According to the plan, two floors above the family’s residence will be set aside as maintenance areas, and on top of that will be an “air space floor,” which will act as a control room for helicopters landing on the helipad above.

Helipad:
The plan states that three helipads are to be built on the terrace.

First off, no two floors are alike. Ambani specified that each story of his home should be made using different plans and materials, with styles and architectural elements tying it all together. Furthermore, the odd shape of the structure is the result of a discipline called Vaastu, which is an Indian tradition that is similar to the principles of Feng Shui. As for some of the more technological elements, the lobby grants access to the home via nine elevators, and the elaborate crystal laden ballroom features a mount of LCD monitors, a huge sound system and a retractable showcase for artworks.
