Our aims and objectives were first developed in 1992. They are still relevant today:
- To foster community interest in performing arts with particular emphasis on youth involvement.
- To provide constructive guidance and encouragement with the aim of improving individual self esteem and the overall standard of participation.
- To acknowledge the outstanding achievement of individuals and groups in the area of performing arts.
The Muswellbrook & Upper Hunter Eisteddfod is an independent non-profit organisation that relies on entry fees, ticket sales, support from the public and sponsorship to stage an annual event.
Whether you are a serious student or following a hobby, you'll make better progress if you have a performance to work towards. The Eisteddfod could be your goal.
If you're preparing for AMEB, Music Guild or Trinity College of London examinations or the HSC why not try your pieces at the Eisteddfod?
Use the Eisteddfod to gain confidence and to overcome nerves for interviews, public speaking or entertaining.
Meet people with similar interests and goals.
Use this opportunity to perform in public at your level of competence and in a supportive environment.
