As the Muswellbrook & Upper Hunter Eisteddfod, we pride ourselves on continually developing our event and on interacting with our participants, supporters and volunteers. Within this site you'll find our Syllabus, entry forms and other information relating to the Eisteddfod.
It was with great sadness that we came to the decision as a committee to suspend all divisions of the 2020 Eisteddfod due to the advent of the COVID-19 pandemic. Now it is with great excitement that we can advise that planning for 2021 is well underway. Regrettably, due in the main to our inability to attract sufficient interest in filling the role of convenor, neither Dance Division nor Piano Division will operate in 2021. Information regarding our 2021 Eisteddfod is now avaialble on this site
Our aims and objectives were first developed in 1992. They are still relevant today:
To foster community interest in performing arts with particular emphasis on youth involvement.
To provide constructive guidance and encouragement with the aim of improving individual self esteem and the overall standard of participation.
To acknowledge the outstanding achievement of individuals and groups in the area of performing arts.
The Muswellbrook & Upper Hunter Eisteddfod is an independent non-profit organisation that relies on entry fees, ticket sales, support from the public and sponsorship to stage an annual event.
Whether you are a serious student or following a hobby, you'll make better progress if you have a performance to work towards. The Eisteddfod could be your goal.
If you're preparing for AMEB, Music Guild or Trinity College of London examinations or the HSC why not try your pieces at the Eisteddfod?
Use the Eisteddfod to gain confidence and to overcome nerves for interviews, public speaking or entertaining.
Meet people with similar interests and goals.
Use this opportunity to perform in public at your level of competence and in a supportive environment.
