Mudassar Ejaz is a Senior Development Engineer in the Department of Electrical Engineering at Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS), Pakistan where he has been primarily associated with the Robotics & Control Systems Lab under the direction of Abubakr Muhammad since 2023. Previously, he served as a Lab Instructor in the same lab from 2016 to 2023 and as a Lab Engineer from 2013 to 2016. He has also been serving the same department as SProj. Facilitator for Senior Project (EE 491/492) (aka Final Year Project) since 2022, in coordination with Nauman Zafar Butt. Before joining LUMS in 2013, he worked as a Lecturer/Lecturer(Labs) in the Department of Electrical Engineering, Hajvery University, Pakistan, starting in 2010.


He also worked in/collaborated with multiple industries for short periods during his career. The list includes Brain Telecom, PTCL and Tetra Pak.


Motivated by his past experiences and recognizing its economic importance, he began learning about entrepreneurship and business in 2024 from various sources. These included connecting with relevant academic and professional institutions, meeting successful entrepreneurs and business leaders, attending prominent industry events, and self-learning through best-selling books and the Internet. At the same time, he also started working as an Entrepreneur on some of his startup ideas.


Formally, he earned his M.Sc. Engineering degree (Mechatronics & Control Engineering) in 2016 from University of Engineering & Technology, Lahore, Pakistan and his B.Sc. Engineering degree (Electrical Engineering) in 2010 from University of the Punjab, Lahore, Pakistan. For his M.Sc. research thesis, he worked in Reinforcement Learning in Robotics and his adviser was Ali Raza.
