Margaret (Maggie) Triyana

I am a Senior Economist at the World Bank's Office of the Chief Economist, South Asia Region. I was Assistant Professor of Economics at Wake Forest University, Visiting Assistant Professor at the Keough School of Global Affairs at the University of Notre Dame, and Assistant Professor of Economics at Nanyang Technological University in Singapore. I graduated from the Harris School of Public Policy at the University of Chicago. I was previously the Asia Health Policy Postdoctoral Fellow at the Shorenstein Asia Pacific Research Center at Stanford University.

My main research area examines human capital formation over the life cycle, with an emphasis on how policies and environmental factors affect different dimensions of human capital in low and middle-income countries. I also examine the distributional impacts of both environmental risks and policies.
