Do you know a teen who loves learning about animals and the environment and is looking for a unique summer service learning opportunity? If so, Junior Zoo Crew at the Maryland Zoo in Baltimore might be the perfect fit! The Junior Zoo Crew program is an excellent opportunity for teens ages 14-17 with a passion for wildlife, and an interest in animal care to learn more about our exotic animals and the careers of those who care for them! Participants learn from a variety of experienced Zoo staff about the natural world while completing meaningful service projects here at the Zoo!

If you or someone you know might be interested in this awesome opportunity, join us at the Maryland Zoo in Baltimore for our Volunteer Open House, which takes place on Sunday, January 31st from 11:00 am—2:00 pm. Here you will get to learn about the Junior Zoo Crew program, and the other awesome volunteer programs we offer, from volunteers who support the Zoo in a number of ways.

You can also learn more about the Junior Zoo Crew program by going to our website, where the program information and application is now available.

The Junior Zoo Crew program is a wonderful way for teens to spend their summer break, to earn service learning hours, and to develop important life skills. Please share information about this program with your peers, students, and friends and we hope to see you at the Volunteer Open House!
