Most Fridays students will work in small groups with their peers and in instructor to go over several focus problems related to the lecture material for the week. Credit for the activity will be earned by completing a corresponding post class activity in D2L after the focus session (see the schedule).
For those who have online recitations, focus sessions are hosted via Zoom, the link and time for your section can be found here.
We will not take attendance but all students are expected to attend the focus sessions. If you can't attend a focus session you do not need to notify anyone and should make up the work on your own time.
D2L post focus session activities will be open the entire day of the focus session (6 am - 6 pm EST)
The 2 lowest focus session activity scores will be dropped and the remaining will be summed and scaled to 15% of your final grade. This will be done automatically at the end of the semester during the calculation of final grades.
Each week a new focus session will be added. You can download a copy of the blank Focus Session questions below.
You should complete/review the pre-activity portion on your own then complete the focus session activity during the focus session.
Important Note: The links below can only be accessed with MSU credentials so if you have any non-MSU google accounts you should first sign out, then click the desired link below where you should enter your msu credentials.
*Focus session links will be provided as they are available on a weekly basis.
