Swim Technique Workshop
On Saturday March 3rd, a Swim Technique Workshop will be held between 8am and 3.30pm in the Athlone Regional Sports Centre. This Workshop is suitable for a broad range of swimmers (from those new to lane swimming up to advanced level). It will be an intensive one day event with a focus on identifying and correcting any issues you may have with your Frontcrawl technique.
There will be 2 pool sessions where we will use both underwater and overwater cameras to produce a detailed Stroke Analysis Report and Evaluation Score for each swimmer. The underwater camera will also be used in a Drills session which will include demonstrations and practice.
There will also be 3 classroom sessions where we will cover Swim Technique and Theory, review videos and analyse technique, learn more about using drills to correct aspects of your stroke, discuss how you should structure swim sessions to progress over time and cover off any other questions arising from the day.
As a follow-up to the workshop we will arrange one-to-one meetings to present and discuss each participant’s Stroke Efficiency Report, recommend specific drills and offer advice on training programs.
