MBARC News & Announcements

  • Learning CW During introductions at the November MBARC meeting, members were asked about the kind of topics they would like to see covered as programs for future meetings.  One popular request was "CW".  For newer hams, "CW" is short for "Continuous Wave"; the dots and dashes of Morse code that is the precursor to modern radio communications and the "common language" of amateur radio.  MBARC Member Bruce Prior, N7RR, has authored an article, "Learning Morse Effectively" that he is sharing with you.  Look below this post for a link to the PDF.  Thanks Bruce!

Stored Equipment

The club has a significant amount of equipment currently being stored courtesy of Brian K1BJ.  As discussed over the last couple meetings we will be making decisions regarding its disposition this spring and summer.  Please look over these pictures and share your thoughts at future general club meetings. As a reminder, we will ask for volunteers to help sort through this material in an effort to assure we make the best use of it.
