Add an Announcement

Announcements appear when your students first accesses your course.  It's important to stay in touch with students by adding announcements on a regular basis.  

To Add an Announcement:
  • Make sure Edit Mode is ON
  • Click the Announcement area of the course menu
  • Click Create Announcement
  • Name the announcement and type the message into the text box
  • Use the date parameters, if necessary
  • A permanent announcement appears at the top of the announcement list at all times.
  • Use the Override User Notifications box to send the announcement to students email.  NOTE: you will not receive a copy of this email.
  • Click the Submit button
