IA Design Lab Ideas (4 total) due on May 20th.  *You must include your research Q, materials & chemicals required & general method of investigation.

Summer Assignment: Write up your IA lab reports for the Design section for all 4 experiments & set up your data tables to fill in with your results.

**Begin researching IA Design Labs & deciding what you want to investigate. You should be completing the design portions for 4 different IA design labs which tie in with one of the required chemistry IB standards.  Your experiment should be able to have quantitative data collected and processed (perform calculations) to analyze and be able to form a conclusion using the data obtained after calculations performed to support your conclusion.  *Remember your experiment must be novel (new), you can perform similar experiments from ones conducted in class, but you must modify your investigations in some way to not duplicate what we did in class or what you have found online.

You must work independently for all parts of the IA Design experiments from beginning to end.  Be sure your experiment is different from everyone else in the course as they can not be the same.  The first person to submit their ideas for the labs will have precedence /priority for conducting that experiment over others in the course.

IA Designs- Suggestions for Topics: Rate of Reaction, Heat of Combustion, Effects of Acid Rain, Synthesis of Aspirin or another compound, Titration expt, Redox Rxns, Organic Rxns, Food chemistry, or Calorimetry expt.

Extra Credit: Complete sets of Mock Papers 1 & 2 showing all your work needed to support your answers obtained.  Include explanation or justification for each answer selected.
