History Resources

About this class:
  • We begin where you ended in your 6th-grade history class, at the decline of the Ancient Era. We’ll be traveling all over the world, learning about civilizations during the Middle Ages (roughly 500 C.E. to 1500 C.E.), including Africa, the Americas, Arabia, China, Europe, and Japan.

  • Throughout the year, you’ll be developing your sense of world geography and map skills

  • 21st Century Skills and College Readiness:

  • You’ll be guided through Cornell Note-taking, critical thinking skills, comprehending and interacting with challenging text, practicing using academic language, and being metacognitive. You'll also practice skills of thinking, reading, and writing like a historian.
