Conversion - Up Close and Healthy
With a parent or guardian decide on a favorite family recipe that you would like to share. Place all the ingredients necessary on the left of the activity sheet.
After you finish, with your parent or guardian make whatever changes you can to increase the healthfulness of the recipe (for example, decrease salt intake; decrease saturated fat; lower cholesterol-containing substances) on the right side of the sheet. This can include substitutions of one ingredient for a healthier one or additions- adding a healthy ingredient to improve the nutrition of the recipe.
Finally, make the recipe the healthier way and eat it!
