About me

I graduated from Biddeford High School (Maine) and then earned a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Studies from the University of Vermont.  After working as an outdoor educator in Hawaii, Maine, and Rhode Island, I finished my graduate certificate in Ocean Studies from Nova Southeastern University.  My teaching certificate specializes in secondary level sciences; I was part of the Extended Teacher Education Program (ETEP) at the University of Southern Maine.  My classroom teaching experience includes working with 8th through 12th graders at schools around southern Maine and the greater Boston area.

I am wicked excited to be teaching at Somerville High School this year!

My favorite things to do include (but are not limited to) telling knock-knock jokes and being silly with my four-year-old nephew, playing tricks on my cat (who thinks she's a dog), trying new restaurants with old friends, traveling all over, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, hiking, swimming, reading, listening to music, and asking questions.
