APES – Student Survey 2015 – Results from #10:  What is 1 relevant, appropriate question you would like to ask Ms. Q?

Student’s Question

Ms. Quigley’s Answer

Have you always loved science?

Yes and no.  I was intimidated by science classes in college, so I went through a phase of not loving the “hard sciences” like Bio/ Chem/ Physics.  But thankfully, I got over that, and realized they’re not actually that scary.

What was one fun thing you did this summer?

Oh wow…. LOTS of stuff.  One memory that sticks out is an awesome water balloon fight with my 6-year-old nephew, with my 1-year-old niece watching.  (We picked up ALL the trash after).

Favorite pastime?

If I had to choose only 1 favorite, it would probably be swimming.

What made you choose Environmental Science/ any science in general?

This sounds cheesy and cliché, but I chose to be an Environmental Studies major when I was a senior in high school.  I wanted to change the world then, and I still do now.  It’s the most important branch of science, in my opinion.

Do you have any pets?

You better believe I do!  I have a calico cat named Penny, who thinks she’s a dog.  She’s a diva and I love her like crazy….. and no, I’m not ashamed to admit that I’m a “cat lady.”  All good.

None

Okay, you know who you are.  “NONE”  is not a question!  (Please re-do this ASAP!)

When are we going outside?

This coming week (9/14-9/18-15), weather permitting.  I’m anxious to get outside too.

Can we go over more on math questions, such as the Multiple Choice?

YES, definitely.  We will practice a math or other FRQ at least once a week, hopefully more.

What kinds of jobs can you have based on this subject?

SO MANY DIFFERENT OPTIONS!!!!!
Here’s a (brief and incomplete) list of 246 environmental science jobs available now:

2 people still need to do the survey
