About Ms. Quigley

I graduated from Biddeford High School (Maine) and then earned a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Studies from the University of Vermont. After working as an outdoor educator in Hawaii, Maine, Rhode Island, and Alaska, I finished my graduate certificate in Ocean Studies from Nova Southeastern University.

My teaching certificate specializes in secondary level sciences; I was part of the Extended Teacher Education Program (ETEP) at the University of Southern Maine.  My classroom teaching experience includes working with 6th through 12th graders at schools around southern Maine and the greater Boston area.

I am wicked excited to be teaching at Somerville High School again this year!

My favorite things to do include:

  • telling knock-knock jokes and being silly with my 8-year-old nephew and 3-year old niece,
  • playing tricks on my cat (who thinks she's a dog),
  • taking pictures
  • trying new restaurants with old friends,
  • traveling all over,
  • cross-country skiing,
  • snowshoeing,
  • hiking,
  • swimming,
  • reading,
  • listening to music and
  • asking questions.
