Welcome & Contact Information
UPDATE: April 20 – Until End of Closure: Implementation of ISD Remote Teaching and At Home Learning
Continue checking your course current unit AGENDA tab for more specific information about how our class is moving forward.
Here are some student schedule suggestions for you to modify to best fit your needs. You are expected to complete 25 minutes per class 5x a week, totaling 125 minutes (approx. 2 hours) per week, per class. Be mindful of how you manage your time.
SKYWARD abridged email blast: Per OSPI guidance, student grades can improve, but will not go down, from the pre-closure baseline grade in Family Access, as long as students continue to engage with new essential learnings.
If you are unable to engage with these new essential learnings remotely from now through the end of school, this may result in an “Incomplete” for the course which could be completed at a later time.
Take care of yourselves and be good to each other. - M
WELCOME to Ms. Morales' English Language Arts (ELA) classroom website. The purpose of this site is to help keep SHS students and their families informed of our course content, resources, and updates. If absent from class, students should review and complete any missed work, as posted on this site (see unit agenda & class homework calendar at left side-bar) or as discussed with teacher (see absent policy in syllabus).
Click directly on your specific course subject title at left side-bar for course-related overview & sign-ins/passwords.
My goal is to help students build their reading/writing/communication skills, become lifelong learners, and recognize their shared humanity. As such, I encourage students to strive to embody the Spartan Learner Profile: balanced, caring, communicators, courageous, engaged, inquirers, knowledgeable, open-minded, principled, reflective, thinkers.
Students and guardians alike should feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns about our classes. We're all in this together.
