abc Pocket Phonics

Free tool. This tool is great for the iPad. It is simple but effective. Students can practice their hand writing while learning the sounds of each letter. With this students are in the right direction to becoming great readers.

Free tool. With this tool I can use it to see how well students are understanding and applying their spelling terms or even other areas of subject. I can generate a test for them to take and record their score and monitor what they know and what I need to review.

Reading or listening to short stories and applying the information from them to answer questions. Students will learn what information is important in stories.

Brain Pop

Free tool. Fun app for the iPad that students can use. It prepares students in a fun way for standardized testing when they have to read or listen to a short story then answer question about it. Also the stories come with an animation, which makes it more enjoyable for the students.

Check up on understanding of lesson. Also use for anonymous response. (pie charts/bar graphs representing students responses)

With this tool I can measure how effective or ineffective me lesson was. This tool can also be used to gather data and record records for each student.

Free tool. With this teachers can explain any concept of lesson in a different, unique way that student can follow more closely.

Students show their thought process (Get students involved with thinking outside the box and finding different methods to solve problems)

Free tool. With elections coming around teachers can use this tool to show students a similar experience of voting and how it works to a certain degree. With this app results are instant and can be evaluated.

Help students apply the pictures in the text to the sentences. (Help build sentences)

Sentence Reading Magic

Free tool. Used for younger children beginning to recognize words and sentences. Students can use pictures to apply the words they know to match the picture to create sentences or match the word with the picture.

Students can check out books for reports or for better understanding of a subject they're interested in. (This will help organize my classroom and keep track of class text materials)

Free tool. Great tool for teachers with libraries in their classroom. I plan on having many books available to my students so they can find books of their interest to read.

Students can create timelines for all different subjects. (Students can explore on each others timeline and discuss difference and the reasons why they have different information)

Time Toast

Free tool. Students can interact with each other and create a timeline for any subject or even a timeline of events in the school year so far. It will be interesting to see what students find important and dates that need to be marked.
