This website is home for a new online MSc programme in Non-Destructive Testing and Evaluation delivered by the Faculty of Architecture, Computing and Engineering at The University of Wales Trinity Saint David. It extends the accessibility of the existing campus-based course to students studying at a distance. It should be noted that this is currently a development website and that the NDT course is not yet available online. If approved and validated, the course will be advertised through the Prospectus in the normal way.

Each of the core NDTE course modules is concerned with a specific NDT technology, the applications and techniques of which have to be mastered. The modules are delivered as teaching blocks, allowing distance-learning students to effectively study the modules as a series of short courses.

The practical component of each module amounts to 25% of the total learning activity and the practical assignment involved counts for 40% of the overall module assessment. The unique feature of this distance learning course is that students are able to gain remote access to the same laboratory equipment used by the campus-based students and to carry out the same practical exercises.

The website pages are accessed using the navigation frame on the left. The site includes all the resources needed for the course, as well as a mix of communications tools for group and one-to-one dialogue between students and staff.

In the Help section, there is a guide to the website usage and contact details should you have any queries.
