Message from the MSAMA Board

Dear MSAMA Community,

We are excited to share the news with you all that we have elected a new Chair and Vice-Chair to our MSAMA Board of Directors.

Effective 1/1/18, Karen Bruynell has been elected into the position of Chair of the organization. Karen has served as the Vice-Chair of the MSAMA BOD since its inception and has over 15 years of experience in medical education. She is currently the Administrative Director of the Brigham Education Institute at Brigham and Women's hospital.

Also effective 1/1/18, Tanya Zinkus was elected into the position of Vice-Chair. Tanya has over 20 years of experience in medical education and has held numerous leadership positions nationally. Her current role is Manager for Clinical Integration at Reliant Medical Group.

Both Karen and Tanya share a passion for medical education and are driven to take MSAMA to the next level. We have been proud to see MSAMA grow as an organization since its official incorporation in 2013.

Please join us in congratulating them!

Laurie Dubois will step down as Chair, and become a general Board Member.  Over the last five years, Laurie's stewardship of MSAMA has been characterized by innovative ideas, strategic thinking and, most valuable, your tireless efforts to increase the credibility and visibility of MSAMA in the New England medical education administrators community. The resulting network has become a huge asset to us all, and the relationships Laurie has fostered with our Board, Committee Chairs and valued members will ensure MSAMA will prosper and continue to offer opportunities to our members for the foreseeable future.  By all measures, MSAMA has flourished immensely with Laurie's leadership and we are eternally grateful!

Our focus in the year ahead will be in reviewing and potentially re-writing our organization's bylaws and also in ensuring we have built sustainable committee structures which are the backbone of our efforts.

Thank you all for your continued support!

Sincerely,
