Homework Assignments

We have homework every single day except Friday.  Often (but not always) homework on Mondays and Wednesdays will be related to English-Language Arts or Reading while homework on Tuesdays and Thursdays will be related to Math.  Students must do their homework.  It is part of their grade.  Students may ask family or friends for help, but students must write and do most of the work themselves.  Homework will always be more practice of things that we have already done in class.

Please let me know if students are unable to complete their homework or do not understand.  It may mean that I need to set aside more time to work with with individual students... or it may mean that they weren't listening in class.  Either way, it is important for me to know.

I hope that everyone understands that homework is meant to help the students.  I want to give them more time to practice the things we learn in school so that they can be as successful as possible.

Homework For Summer

Read, read, read!

Practice sight words.

Practice math facts (skip counting be 2s, 3s, 5s, and 10s; identify fractions; telling time; addition and subtraction).

Keep a journal of the different things you do this summer and do your best job writing with good penmanship and descriptive words.
