This hands-on workshop is for middle and high school teachers who are interested in teaching an introductory mobile computing course based on the CS Principles framework. The workshop will provide a overview of the online Mobile CSP course and a preview of the Mobile CSP Project's online professional development course for teachers. During the workshop participants will develop simple Android apps and be introduced to lessons, homework exercises, project assignments, and assessment materials (quizzes, grading rubrics) that can be used in an App Inventor-based, introductory-CS course. This workshop is suitable for those who are new to App Inventor, as well as those who would like to teach to the CS Principles standards with App Inventor. You need to bring your own laptop. Android devices will be provided on loan for the duration of the workshop. If you have your own Android phone or tablet, you can use that during the workshop. We look forward to seeing you there!
