Math Brain Dumps These are brain dumps I teach my students to help them remember how to convert measurements.
 
Mental Math Tips Learn to do math in your head!
 
 
 
 
Daily Math Connections- These are different things I do with my students to begin our math lesson. Start with one and practice and then gradually add to it. Once the students have mastered one we may not do it every day. You could do a different one each day of the week after the students understand each.
 
Math Connectiions Assessments (see file below)
 
Place Value Chart for 5th (see file below)
 
Number Study (see assessment file below)- Pick a target number for the day. Students write everything they know about that number.
 
Array of the Day- (see file below) Use the target number and draw all the rectangular arrays you can with this number. This is a good way to teach prime and composite numbers.
 
Incredible Equations- Students write equations that equal the target number of the day.
