Education: I graduated from Napa High School in 2006 and earned my B.A. in Human Biology at Stanford University in 2010, with a minor in Spanish. Following graduation, I stayed on to serve as a Core Course Associate in the Program in Human Biology, assisting in the teaching of the sophomore Core program. I returned to school at Stanford's Graduate School of Education (STEP), where I received my M.A. in Education and my California Teaching Credential.
Teaching Experience: I taught at Sequoia High School in Redwood City, California before my husband and I moved to southern California for his work. I am entering my fourth year at Westlake teaching AP Biology and English Support. I benefit from the fantastic support of a dedicated faculty at Westlake, the mentorship of the Woodrow Wilson Foundation, and as a 2012 Fellow of the Knowles Science Teaching Foundation (KSTF), collaborate with other STEM teachers nationwide to inquire into and improve my teaching practice.
Outside of School: I enjoy spending time with my husband exploring the outdoors, hiking, and running. I'm a huge fan Giants baseball fan (and sports fan in general) and will do almost anything for time to cook.
