This is one of the hardest e-mails I've had to write to all of you. I wanted to make sure that everything was final before writing you all, but I have seen that word has started to get out on Twitter.
I had an interview on Monday at Los Osos High School in Rancho Cucamonga; they offered me job Monday afternoon. After a lot of thoughtful consideration (and prayer!) I have decided to accept a teaching position at Los Osos High School.
As you all know, I live down the hill and this move will allow me to spend more quality time with my family. As my kids get older, this is even more important.
I have loved every moment being part of the Bulldog family. Oak Hills High School will always hold a special place in my heart. This has been an extremely tough decision to make (I've spent more time crying than anything else), but I know in my heart that it is the right move for me and my family.
I will be at OHHS tomorrow (Friday, August 1st) to start the process of clearing out my classroom. If you have a mask that you would like, please let me know and I'll set it aside for you to pick up (I can give it to either Ms. Calderon or Ms. McDaniel to give to you).
Class of 2015....you better bet that you'll see me at your Graduation. I have to see you all walk across that stage.
Oak Hills Graduates.....if you're ever in Rancho, let me know and stop on by. Especially those of you that are Psych majors....I can always use guest speakers!
When I talked to Mr. Porras, he said it best, this isn't good-bye, it's just see you later.
I love you all more than you know!
