HOMEWORK FOR:
Monday-
Tuesday-
Wednesday-
Thursday-
Friday-

Things to do at home:
  • Have your child read aloud to you for at least 20 minutes. Having your child read with you following the pacing of your reading helps them build fluency. It is nice to be read to however, having your child read out loud is more beneficial for their fluency.
  • Practice math facts that include subtraction, addition, and multiplication. Flashcards are an easy way to do this. Because each connects and builds on one another, it is important that students are constantly practicing these.
  • Xtra Math Go to xtramath.org and register your child as "parent". All the students know their PIN number. They can log in sessions and advance to the next stages. This is another easy way to have them practice math facts.
  • Practice spelling words.
  • RazKids (located on the Jackson website under Curriculum Links and Third Grade). The teacher username is: nhumes0 and the password for your child is their PIN number to XtraMath.org. This works on building children's fluency and comprehension based on their reading level and it progresses their reading level as they move through different texts. I have not gotten all students updated on here yet. Once I have got it updated, I will notify you via this website.
