"The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more you learn, the more places you'll go."

— Dr. Seuss, "I Can Read With My Eyes Shut!"

Three cheers for a fun summer!
Tips for practicing and maintaining skills that your child has worked so hard to learn this year:

When the opportunities present themselves....

...write journal entries about fun activities.
.. write postcards to friends.
.. have your child count his/her own money.
...ask your child questions regarding time (i.e. When they ask when lunch time is, tell them what time lunch is and ask them to calculate how long that will be)
...find as many out of state license plates as you can while taking road trips and keep track of them on a map.
....read for pleasure (Sports Illustrated for Kids, National Geographic Kids, magazines, books, comics, recipes, etc...)
...have fun with learning!!
