Today:Module Five, Lesson 1

Today: You will begin Module Five. This unit is on Transcendentalism (1840-1855. You will be learning about some of America's first individualists, theirs words, and the people they inspired. You can use the above Blendspace on Emerson, Thoreau, and King for extra information throughout the unit, but it will be particularly helpful today when completing the Module Five, Lesson One Completion assignment.

The Tasks:

• For this assignment you will be completing the attached chart regarding Emerson, Thoreau, and King, three Americans who were either founders (Emerson and Thoreau) or a follower (King) of the movement/philosophy of Transcendentalism. You may use what you've learned from the videos and from your own prior knowledge, but we also encourage you to do some brief research on each of these three men.

Remember to cite your sources. You can use the notes, your own memory, and the Blendspace above to help you with this assignment.
