The success of your safe grad event depends on you. Here is how you can do your part:

OUR FIRST FUNDRAISER IS THE $10,000 RAFFLE.  Raffle tickets are $20 each and each senior family is expected to sell 5 tickets. This raffle drawing will be held during halftime of the last SWHS Varsity Home Football Game (date TBD, around Thanksgiving week). There is an incentive for Seniors who sell 5 or more tickets: for every 5 tickets a Senior sells, he/she will have ONE entry to win $500 at the SAFE GRAD EVENT on graduation night. The success of this raffle is crucial to our SAFE GRAD EVENT. This raffle will fund almost the entire cost of the event, which keeps us from soliciting parents multiple times throughout the year.  Raffle selling will begin in late August.

OUR SECOND FUNDRAISER IS THE HOLIDAY HOOPLA CRAFT AND VENDOR FAIR, also held at SWHS in November.  SWHS parent Dawna Cavagnaro put together an amazing fair for us last year. Dawna needs 10 adults to join the planning committee for this November event and would like 4-5 students to work the day of the event.

Students: You can add this activity to your college resume and your commitment is minimal. We ask that you sell raffle tickets at ONE EVENT (e.g., sporting event, farmer’s market, fall fest).  Secondly, we will ask your opinion via group text on party planning, e.g., prizes, entertainment, etc.

Parents: We need a few parents to lead the event for 2019, while we transition to a supportive role on the committee.

Unfortunately, underclassmen family participation in this event has dwindled, so it really is up to the Class of 2019 students and families to give full support to make this event a success
