"Childhood should be a journey ... not a race."
About the Teacher:
I have been teaching since 2002. Prior to teaching, I worked in quality assurance as a chemist and manager for Smithkline Chemicals.
It is my hope that my students come to share my enthusiasm about science. I bring my chemistry background into the classroom and generate a 'scientist feel' to our labs. Being a faith based school enables the students to see how Science and Religion are intertwined.
I am excited for the new school year and the introduction of the new Next Generation science standards into our curriculum. STEM activities encourage the students to develop different approaches to solving problems with an emphasis on developing 21st century thinkers who are better prepared for success in high school and college and ultimately in the work place.
In the summer, I love to travel, read, and enjoy time at the beach with my husband and family.
