Week of December 11th

posted Dec 11, 2017, 5:31 AM by Ella Frazier
I hope everyone had a nice relaxing "Snow Weekend".  This week 5th grade will be learning how to use the order of operations with brackets and braces to evaluate expressions.  In science we will finish with our weather unit and will be taking some short quizzes and a final test.  Students have a weather booklet with notes to study.  Fourth grade will be learning about decimals and how they relate to fractions.  They will also be introduced to some geometry- lines, angles and figures - this week.  In science they will continue studying energy, but we are moving to electrical and magnetic energy.
Our first round of fund raising is over.  Orders have been sent.  You may still sell items to earn money until January 5th.
The Snowman Family Project was due today, but I can give you until tomorrow to turn it in.
Don't forget our Winter Festival this Thursday from 5:30 to 6:30.  Students are preparing a special surprise for parents.  We hope to see you there.
