Ancient Mesopotamia

Ancient Mesopotamia was located in a part of the world known as the Fertile Crescent, which is an extremely fertile piece of land that stretches from the Mediterranean Sea to the Persian Gulf. The word Mesopotamia is Greek for "land between rivers." Specifically, Mesopotamia is the land between the Tigris and Euphrates rivers and was home to such civilizations as the Sumerians, Babylonians and Assyrians. Check out the map below to see!
