MF- 1

Navigate autonomously inside a home

Description:

BUD-E shall be able to navigate inside a home without colliding with objects.


MF- 2

Operate via voice commands

Description:

BUD-E shall understand voice commands and also report status in simple speech.


MF- 3

Grab bottles and put into BUD-E basket

Description:

BUD-E shall retrieve bottles up-to 600ml and put into basket after grasping successfully.


    Non-Functional Requirements

MNF- 1

Optimal robot size

Description:

The size of BUD-E shall be smaller than (W:20” L:35” H:48”). This is to restrict the torso to smaller than the footprint of the mobile base—to allow for stair climbing.


MNF- 2

Contain onboard power source

Description:

BUD-E shall be untethered to a power source during its operation.


MNF-3

Use interface suitable for elderly

Description:

BUD-E shall be operable using voice commands.

Description:

Description:

Description:

BUD-E shall have an aesthetic / appealing external appearance.

Follow home appliance noise standard

Description:

The noise level of BUD-E shall be in the range of 50dBA-90dBA [8].
