- Bellwork: Instead
of bellwork, we will spend the first 20 minutes doing SSR (Sustained
Work on Part I of final project: Revisions of 2
Works and Reflection on revisions. You will submit the following this Friday,
Revisions of TWO of your major writing assignments
(narrative, personal essay, poetry (3 20 point poems) or drama)
A reflection (1-3 pages) in which you answer: WHAT
you revised, WHY, and HOW it improved your work.
- Homework: 2 revisions due Friday, Jan. 11.
Print out hard copies with NO NAMES or references to BHS. Place a post-it
note with your name and lit fest category/genre.
- Revisions due Friday, Jan. 11 to turnitin.com by
NOTE: when finished with Part I,
begin working on Part II: Lit Magazine or Film.
- Here are some reminders about
structure and rubric:
- LITERARY MAGAZINE: Create a literary
magazine with a specific theme. You may work with a small group of people
for this (up to 4), but each person must contribute a minimum of 3 pages
of new writing to the magazine. Magazine must also have a mission statement
and submission requirements.
Write a script, including cast, sets, and stage directions, for a 10-15
minute film with a captivating story structure, conflict, character
growth, etc. Film the script and present to the class on last day of

Project due Thursday Jan. 17. Be prepared to present your final project to
Thursday, Jan. 17:
day! You’ll have about 15 minutes to make any finishing touches to your
literary magazine or get your film project sent to Mrs. Biancheri via jump
drive, email, or DVD to show to class.
