About Me

2021-2022 will be my nineteenth year teaching. I have taught 6th grade for seventeen years, and one year each of 7th grade and 5th grade. This will be my ninth year at Ralston.

I received my undergraduate degree in business from the University of Notre Dame and my teaching credential from San Francisco State University. Other than teaching, I’ve spent one year working in a family construction business in Fresno (where I grew up).

I’ve been married for seventeen years and have two children. My wife, Nichole, is the Director of Student Activities at a Catholic high school in the East Bay. My two children are Sophie, age 15 and a Ralston alumnus, and Adrian, age 12 and a current Ralston student.

In my free time (there’s not much with two kids), I like playing sports, reading, traveling, cooking, and gardening. My favorite sport is ultimate frisbee. I enjoy coaching sports as well and usually coach my son's baseball teams. I also enjoy biking, kayaking, hiking, camping, and just about anything outside.
